How Much is My Face Worth?

Everyday MakeupI read a post from Beauty By CatherineΒ a couple of months ago where she did the “How Much is My Face Worth” Tag. She took a look at all the products she uses on a daily basis and calculated the cost of her made-up face. I loved it and hated it all at the same time. In one sense I felt relief that other people spend a good amount of money on makeup. But, on the other hand, my stomach flip-flopped at the thought of how much my face might cost. It was kind of eye opening for me to take a step back and think about how much I spend on makeup and what I use everyday. Today, as I was going through my makeup drawer and getting ready, I thought back to Catherine’s post and decided to share the value of my everyday face with you all. If you haven’t checked out Catherine’s BlogΒ or her fabulous Instagram, I recommend that you do!Β She does a bunch of amazing beauty, fashion and lifestyle posts.

I will be the first to admit it is absolutely crazy that I wear $468 worth of product on my face. My brain is currently exploding with ideas of things I could spend that much money on. That is A LOT of money. Although, I do have to keep in mind that it isn’t like I went out and spend $468 all at once. These are products I have slowly accumulated overtime and I slowly repurchase here and there, or swap out for new alternatives (sometimes less expensive) as they run out.

I’m dying to know, how much is your face worth?! Let me know in a comment below or send me a link to your post!

    garnier bb cream $14.27
    elf high definition powder $6
    Hard Candy glamoflage concealer $6.98
    elf brow kit $3
elf cream eyeliner $3 (seriously this is the greatest thing ever check it out)
    covergirl professional mascara $4.97
elf need it nude palette $10
    elf moisturizing lipstick $3

    so total of $51.22

i am going to start checking out nyx more though

    • I’m crying for me too haha. I do spend a lot of optimum points on makeup, which I am sure helps me save a lot! I love this tag though, it’s so fun!! Thanks for sharing how much your face is worth with me. I love Hard Candy and Elf products. I recently picked up the Hard Candy Highlighting duo and I’m super impressed.

  2. Neat idea! I’m scared to total mine up too, although if you calculate the cost out based on how many times you’ve used the product, its usually much more justifiable, but I guess you wouldn’t know until you’ve finished the product up!
NYX Butter Gloss in Tiramisu is one of my favourite lip glosses ever – such a good one!

    • It would definitely be more justifiable based on number of uses. I just don’t keep track of how long it takes me to use something, so I’m not sure I could pull that off. Either way, it’s still a really fun tag πŸ™‚
