Monthly Must Haves: November 2016

Vasanti Eye Shadow Duo, La Roche Posay Mascara, Rodan + Fields Toner, Color Switch

Monthly Must Haves are one of my favourite posts to write. Nearing the end of every month my roommate and I think about all the new products I’ve tried, or the things I have been using a lot lately, and pick out my favourites. She is usually better at remembering which products I have been using the most then I am. The other thing I love about monthly favourites is that it gives me a little bit of time to reflect on the actual month itself. The month of November was a crazy busy month for me. Despite the busy time, I still managed to give lots of new products a try! Let’s get into some of my favourites!

Vasanti Eye Shadow Duo Taj Mahal

Vasanti Taj Mahal Silky Eye Shadow Duo ($22) – This duo has a metallic champagne rose colour paired with a luminous cream shade and they are absolutely stunning. I love wearing the champagne rose colour all over my lid and applying the cream shade to my inner corner and brow bone as a highlight. I usually add some depth to the crease by using my bronzer. The shadows are incredibly pigmented and super smooth. They have beautiful colour pay off as well. I also love how small and compact the duos are. It is the perfect size for someone who travels, or is on the go a lot.

Vasanti Eye Shadow Duo Swatch Taj Mahal

La Roche Posay Respectissime Volume Mascara

La Roche Posay Respectissime Volume Mascara ($20) – I rarely test out new mascaras. I have my tried and true go-to products that I stick to for mascara. This month, I was having some issues with my eyes feeling irritated and I was trying to determine if it was related to my eye makeup. While testing out this theory, I swapped out my regular mascara for this one from La Roche Posay. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. This mascara is designed to provide zero discomfort from application to when you remove it at the end of the day. It is paraben free and made for those with sensitive eyes, as well as safe for contact lens wearers. The product itself is enriched with ceramides, which will help strenghthen the lashes. I love when cosmetic products provide extra benefits, like stregthening my lashes. This product is really good at creating a lot of volume. The large brush catches each individual lash and helps to separate and provide fullness to the lashes.

Rodan + Fields Redefine Pore Minimizing Toner

Rodan + Fields Redefine Pore Minimizing Toner ($55) – This month, I did a thirty day challenge using Rodan + Fields products from their Redefine product line thanks to one of their consultants Devon – check out her page here. During the challenge I fell in love with the toner that is part of their Redefine line. My number one skin concern is pores. I am constantly up close in a magnifying mirror examining the appearance of my pores, or trying new products to improve or conceal my pore size. When I received my Rodan + Fields package, I was so excited to discover the toner that is specifically designed to minimize the appearance of pores. This toner is alcohol free. That alone is a huge win in my books. I often times, avoid toners because I don’t like the heavy smell of alcohol that is present. I have to say, this one smells fantastic! This product uses hydroxy acids to exfoliate dead skin cells and unclog pores. This can enhance the benefits of the product you use afterwards because the exfoliating and pore clearing actions will allow the products you apply after to better penetrate the skin. I did notice while using this product that my moisturizers absorbed more quickly into the skin and the exfoliation from this product left my skin looking brighter.

Clean Sweep Makeup Brush Pad

Clean Sweep Makeup Brush Pad ($8) – This product is a life changer, I am not even being the slightest bit over dramatic. This is a dry brush cleaning tool you can use as a quick cleanse between colours. I use this specifically for my eye shadow brushes. You just swirl the brush on the textured pad and it removes all colour from the brush. It allows you to use the same brush for different colours without having to worry about ruining a shadow because there was still pigment on your brush from the previous shadow. I found mine for around $8 at Winners. Here is a link to a comparable product at Sephora, but I would recommend looking at other retailers for cheaper alternatives.

Those are a few of my favourites from the month of November. Did you have any new favourites this month? Please share them with me in a comment below!

Happy December,

Monthly Must Haves: October 2016

Lise Watier Rustique Chic Palette, La Roche Posay Respectissme, Essie Gel Couture Jouviance Glyco Laser Soft Peel

October has been a really exciting month for me. I moved back to one of my favourite cities, started a new job and have been able to catch up with some old friends. Through all this excitement, I have been able to test out some new products and I have found some new must haves to share with you!

Lise Watier Rustique Chic Palette

Lise Watier Chic & Rustique Palette ($44) – I have been eyeing this palette since early August and I am so happy to finally have it in my collection. This is the perfect warm neutral palette for fall. The burnt orange shade that is third in from the left is STUNNING. These shadows are super blendable and pigmented. I have been wearing this palette non-stop since I got it. It is limited addiction for fall, so if you can still get your hands on it I recommend picking it up.  My favourite look is to do the gold shade all over the lid, the burnt orange shade in the crease, and then I deepen the outer V with the green shade. I am so obsessed with this look.

Essie Gel Couture Polish Swatch Striped with Style

Essie Gel Couture Polish Spiked with Style ($14.99) – This has been my go-to colour this month. It is that perfect deep red/burgundy shade that screams fall to me. I just recently did a full review on the Essie Gel Couture Collection here, check it out for more details on how the polish wears and my thoughts!

La Roche Posay Respectissime Makeup Remover Review

La Roche Posay Respectissime Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover ($19.50) – Removing my eye makeup is probably one of my least favourite activities. I have very sensitive eyes and often times eye makeup removers can irritate my eyes, or don’t entirely dissolve and break down my makeup. This makeup remover from La Roche Posay is a complete game changer for me. It is fragrance and paraben free, and is designed to remove makeup without any intense rubbing. This minimizes the risk of irritating skin around the eye area. I can say from personal experience all of these claims are true and I am obsessed with this product.

Jouviance Glyco Laser Soft Peel Mask

Jouviance Glyco Laser Soft Peel Mask ($40) – All the changes this month really took a toll on my skin. My pores were really looking and feeling congested and my skin has been lacking radiance. This mask was the perfect fix for me as it exfoliates, boosts radiance and resurfaces the skin. It helps to treat break outs, minimize pore size and provide visibly smoother skin. For a full review of the Glyco Laser products see one of my previous reviews here.

Have you tried any new products this month? Tell me about them in a comment below!

Essie Gel Couture Nail Polish

Essie Gel Couture Review

Essie launched their Gel Couture polish line back in June. As a self-proclaimed Essie addict, I know that Essie very rarely launches new formulas or strays from their tried and true core products. I knew this launch was going to be big – it definitely did not disappoint. The packaging alone had me hooked… do you see how cute those bottles are?

Essie’s Gel Couture line is their version of the at home gel manicure trend. It includes 42 shades along with a top coat. They claim that you an get up to 14 days of wear with an instant gel-like shine that doesn’t require a UV light. This formulation also has a new wider rounded tip brush. This brush allows you to more easily apply the polish near the cuticles and requires fewer strokes to cover the nail. The wand also has a curve in it to keep the polish from sliding down the handle in big surprise drips.

Essie Gel Couture Brush

The colour selection in this line is amazing! They have a shade for everyone whether you love neutrals, bold colours or deeper tones. I have tried a shade from each category and the formula is consistent throughout. With the more neutral shade I found it more sheer in colour, but that is usually expected in softer tones. The top coat really locks the colour in place and provides a stunning gel shine. Even as I wore the polish I found the top coat really held its shine.

Now, what you’re probably wondering… did it live up to the 14 day claim? For me, no. But! Before you stop reading, I want you to know, out of all the at home gel manicure polishes I have tried, this is by far the best formulation. With others that I tried, they peeled off in entire strips a few days after application. With the Essie Gel Couture I can get anywhere from 5-7 days of wear out of it. I usually don’t start to see any chips until day 3 or 4, which are very minor along the tip of the nail. I photographed the last time I used the polish to show you how it wore. (Scroll over each picture to see how many days it has lasted on my nails.)

To get 5-7 days out of one nail polish application is amazing for me. When using a regular formulation I can’t get through one day without chipping my nails. I am extremely satisfied with how long the the Essie Gel Couture lasts and it has become my new favourite polish.

I also need to mention Essie’s amazing customer service. I tweeted them after two of the polishes I own from this collection broke – the wand applicator unattached from the lid. Within a few hours someone had responded and within three days and a few emails they offered to reimburse me for the cost of the nail polish. Thank you Essie!!

Have you tried the Essie Gel Couture? Were you able to make it the full 14 days? Let me know in a comment below!

Happy painting,

Kaitlyn xo

L’Oreal Extraordinary Clay Hair Care

L'Oreal Extraordinary Clay Mask, L'Oreal Extraordinary Clay Shampoo, L'Oreal Extraordinary Clay Conditioner

L’Oreal recently launched their new Extraordinary Clay hair care line and I was dying to get my hands on it. It is their first re-balancing system for people who suffer with oily roots and dry ends (aka this product line was made for me). Often, people who have oily roots tend to shampoo more frequently which can strip the moisture from the ends of the hair. This can result in extra oil production at the scalp because the body is trying to replenish the moisture to the ends of the hair making it a vicious cycle. Extra oil production at the scalp can also lead to limp lifeless hair – who wants that?

L’Oreal Extraordinary Clay is formulated with three different types of clay: white clay, blue clay and green clay. White clay is light, smooth and known for its oil absorbing properties. Blue clay is known for its hydrating properties allowing it to soften and smooth the hair. Green clay has cleansing and water absorbing properties that allow it to provide radiance to the hair.

L'Oreal Exraordinary Clay Mask

There are three products within this range including a pre-wash mask, a shampoo and a conditioner. They retail for around $7.99 each, but I was able to score mine on sale for $4.99. The pre-wash mask is made up of 30% mineral clay. It is applied directly to the scalp and stays for 3-5 minutes before it is rinsed from the hair. At first I thought that this was going to be an extremely messy step. I was surprised at how easy it was. The mask itself has a very thick clay-like texture, so you don’t have to worry about it dripping everywhere. The easiest way I found to apply it was to put my hair up in a ponytail, then massage it into my scalp. It allowed to me cover more of my scalp and easily get underneath and the nape of my neck. The clay mask does have a very strong fragrance, but it doesn’t last long when you follow up with the other two steps.

L'Oreal Extraordinary Clay Shampoo and Conditioner

The shampoo and conditioner are both silicone free. They have a very light amazing scent that I love. The conditioner is very lightweight allowing it to add moisture without weighing down the hair.

On average, I usually go three days without washing my hair. On the end of day two is when my hair starts to get oily and I add in some dry shampoo to make it through day three. After my first use of the L’Oreal Extraordinary Clay trio I noticed a difference. It extended my wash by one day. By the end of day three my hair still looked fresh. I was able to make it through three full days without needing to use dry shampoo. I added some dry shampoo on day four to add a bit of freshness and keep my oily roots hidden. I also noticed my hair has a lot more volume since I have started using it, and it holds my style for longer. Usually, I curl my hair on day one, and have to touch up my curls on day three when I add in my dry shampoo. When using the Extraordinary Clay Line, I didn’t have to touch up my curls until day four. Do you know how much time that saves me in the morning?

Overall, I am very impressed with the L’Oreal Extraordinary Clay line. If you are a lazy girl like me, who is willing to try anything to avoid washing your hair, give this set a try. I also think someone who washes their hair everyday and is looking to try and skip a day here and there would really love this line.

Have you tried the L’Oreal Extraordinary Clay line yet? How did you like it? Let me know in the comments below!

Happy second day hair,

Kaitlyn xo

Monthly Must Haves: September 2016

September Monthly Must Haves

September is one of my favourite months. Summer is just ending and you are beginning to transition into fall. You are getting back into routines and heading back to school, or in my case work, and the cooler weather is slowly arriving. This September, I made a lot of changes to my beauty routine. I always like to change things up seasonally to stay with the seasonal trends and give my skin the care it needs. This month I tried a bunch of new products and all my favourites are new things I have discovered in the past month or two.

Essence Pure Nude Highlighter

Essence Pure Nude Highlighter, $6 – This highlight has become an everyday essential AND it is a super affordable drugstore find. I first bought it on a whim, just to try. When I got it home I swatched it and wasn’t super impressed, but decided to give it a chance anyway. I am so happy I did. Using a brush to apply it to the skin made such a difference in comparison to swatching it with my finger. It is extremely buildable and can really give you the kind of highlight that can be seen in outer-space. I am obsessed with this find.

L'Oreal Infallible Pro Glow Foundation Shade 201 Classic Ivory

L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation, $21 – I am ready to leave summer behind, but I am not ready to leave my glowing summer skin behind. I have been maintaining my summer glow with this foundation from L’Oreal, which leaves the most incredible dewy finish. It provides a very natural healthy glow to the skin. For a full review and swatches of this foundation, see my post here.

Dior Addict Lip Glow 005 Lilac Swatch

Dior Addict Lip Glow, $41 – I attended a training session with Dior to learn about their new Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet Fragrance (it is to die for). In the gift bag, I received the Dior Addict Lip Glow in the shade 005 Lilac and it is amazing. The Addict Lip Glows are a universal balm that react to the unique chemistry on each person’s lips to give them a pink flush that will suit their skin tone. It provides a sheer glossy wash of colour that is absolutely stunning. It is infused with wild mango and luffa cylindrica to protect and moisturize the lips throughout the day. This has been in my pocket or purse for the entire month. It can quickly pull any look together and I can apply it without a mirror making it the perfect low maintenance everyday product.

Vichy 24 Hour Hydrating Anti-Acne Treatment

Vichy Normaderm 24 Hour Hydrating Anti-Acne Treatment, $29.95 – For those of you that follow my blog on a regular basis you already know I am a huge fan of Vichy products. I tried this product out and immediately fell in love with it like the rest of the products I have tried. It is a moisturizer with 1.5% salicylic acid and LHA along with their air licium technology. This product targets shine, pore visibility, pimples and acne marks. The salicylic acid helps to clean out clogged pores by exfoliating deep in pores, LHA helps to exfoliate along the surface of the skin and air licium keeps the product super light-weight. I am not a chronic acne sufferer, but I do get the occasional break out. This has made a huge difference on my skin and I have been using it for just about a month now. Even after just 6 days of use I was receiving compliments on how great my skin looked. I find my skin gets less oily through out the day and there has been a big improvement in my skin’s texture and the size of my pores.

Have you started to switch up your beauty routine and found some new fall beauty favourites? I would love to hear about them in a comment below!

Happy October,

Kaitlyn xo

I’m Featured in a Look Book!

Black and white fashion look book, black and white blouse with black statement necklace

In case the title didn’t give it away to you, I’M FEATURED IN A LOOK BOOK!! I had the chance to meet Adrienne Naval, a fabulous Canadian blogger, from Beyond the Exterior when I attended the City Line taping in early September. She was kind enough to ask me to collaborate with her and a few other bloggers for a black and white themed look book.

You can see the look book on Adrienne’s blog here. This was such a fun opportunity and a great way for me to start posting more fashion related posts. It is something I have wanted to do for a while, and this was so much fun I definitely am going to start building in more fashion posts. If there is anything you want to see that is fashion related, please let me know in a comment!

Also, one more thing! Adrienne has been chosen as one of the top 15 finalists for Elle Canada’s Style Search contest. She beat out thousands of other entries, which is incredible, but not surprising because her fashion posts are always amazing. Voting is open until Sepetember 19 and you can vote once a day everyday until then. If you have a minute and want to vote for Adrienne you can here. She so deserves this and every vote counts!!

Cityline Beauty Event with Dave Lackie

This past Friday, September 2, I had the exciting opportunity to attend a taping of Cityline with Dave Lackie – Cityline’s Beauty Expert. For those of you who aren’t familiar with Dave, where have you been? Just kidding! He is currently the founder of a luxury beauty digital magazine and a monthly guest on Cityline. Cityline is Canada’s most successful and longest running daytime show for women in Canada. They cover everything from, food, fashion, home decor to beauty.  The audience was full of fellow bloggers and fabulous twitter friends and I have to say, Cityline knows how to throw a party. I mean, who else has dance parties during their commercial breaks? They even hired a DJ just for our taping that day. This was my first time attending an event as a blogger and they have set the bar high.

The day started off with an amazing breakfast in the Green Room provided by Coty Prestige. It was definitely a hit among everyone. I somehow managed to miss getting a picture of the cutest part – the mini bagels! We had the opportunity to enjoy breakfast while mingling with other audience guests and fellow bloggers as the Cityline Team prepared the studio for our taping.

During breakfast Tracy Moore, the incredible host of Cityline, stopped in to welcome us all. I have to say, she is just as sweet and down to earth in person as you would imagine her to be. Her positive energy and enthusiasm lit up the entire room.

Cityline’s Friday episodes are their “Fashion Friday” segment. Fashion Fridays are focused around fashion and beauty segments with their key experts shedding some light on what’s trending. Within this episode we got to see two fall fashion segments from Lynn Spence, an audience makeover, a Nivea Beauty segment, and a fall beauty and fall fragrance segment  (both from Dave Lackie).

Attending the taping really put into perspective for me how much time and effort really goes into putting a TV show together. There are so many moving parts that have to be in sync to make something like this work. Plus there are so many things they have to do that you don’t even consider, like the clips cutting in and out or all the previews/commercials that run prior to the episode airing. It really takes a huge team of people who work very hard, and who are incredibly talented, to make this kind of operation successful. We got the chance to meet the whole Cityline Team and they are amazing at what they do.

Cityline and Dave Lackie didn’t let us leave empty handed either. They sent us away with an amazing gift bag valued at over $1200. I am still in a state of shock. This was so generous and I still don’t think I have said thank you enough yet, so THANK YOU!!! It was full of skincare, fragrance and beauty goodies. Stay tuned as I am hoping to do some reviews as I get a chance to try everything. If you see anything in particular you want me to review let me know in a comment below!

Dave Lackie Cityline Beauty Giveaway

The episode that I attended airs Friday, September 9th at 9am, or can be viewed live on Be sure to follow along on Twitter and Instagram with #CitylineBeauty on Friday. I’m sure it will be another crazy twitter party you don’t want to miss.

Again, I just want to send out another thank you to Dave, Cityline and their teams. This day was an experience I will never forget and I am so happy I got to spend it with you all. Every time I use any of the products, or wear the outfit I wore to Cityline, I will think back to this day and the amazing time I had. I am so grateful and thankful for the opportunity. It is a day that I will never forget.

Tune in on Friday,

Kaitlyn xo

Monthly Must Haves: August 2016

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette, Nyx Butter Gloss, Benefit Goof Proof Pencil, Avene Skin Recovery Cream

I have mixed feelings about the month of August wrapping up. On one hand, I am so excited for cozy sweaters, fall fashion and there is something about a change in the season that feels like a fresh start. But, on the other hand, I am not ready to part with the warm weather and relaxed feelings that come along with summer. Either way, August is on its way out, and September is quickly approaching – I guess I’ll just have to embrace it. August seemed to be a month that I didn’t try a lot of new products, but rather discovered my love for the ones I have been using or rediscovered an old favourite. Here are my must have products for the month of August:

Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil Shade 3

Benefit’s Goof Proof Brow Pencil ($30) – I am sure you’re all probably sick of me confessing my love for the brow products from Benefit, but I just can’t get enough. I have gotten so many compliments on my brows since these products came out. It has a tear drop shape tip, which at first was really strange to me, but now that I’ve gotten the hang of it I love it. The more pointed edge is perfect for defining the brow and the wider edge works great for filling the brows. If you want to learn more about the brow products see my full review here.

Avene Skin Recovery Cream

Avene Skin Recovery Cream ($34) – Sometimes, when I try new products it can go very badly. Like very, very badly. Like the time I over exfoliated my face, or the time I used a glycolic mask and wet my skin first (glycolic and water don’t mix – it results in burning). The Avene Skin Recovery Cream is my life saver, or I guess skin saver, when I have these little skincare mishaps. I will slather on a thick layer to my entire face, or even use it as a mask and it instantly soothes any kind of irritation and makes me skin happy again. If you are anyone who suffers from your skin becoming easily irritated, or you have common skincare mishaps (me), I definitely recommend testing this guy out.

Nyx Butter Gloss

Nyx Tiramisu Butter Gloss ($8) – This lipgloss is always with me whether it is in my pocket at work, or in my purse. It is the perfect neutral shade that goes with everything. It also has a really hydrating feel without being too sticky or heavy. If you’re looking for a low maintenance and easy to wear product I definitely recommend!

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette ($66) – This has been rotating in and out of my makeup routine forever. Whenever I bring it back out I always fall in love with this product all over again. There is something so flattering about the rose gold tones in this palette. I recently pulled this out of my collection again this month and I am so happy I did. The colours are beautiful, the pigmentation is perfect and it blends out so smoothly. I think I have all the UD Naked palettes and they are absolutely worth the price tag. They last forever and the quality is amazing. If you are looking for a good neutral palette I would recommend giving this one, or any in the Urban Decay Naked line a try.

Did you have any must have products this month? Let me know in a comment below!

Happy September,

Kaitlyn xo

Product Review: L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation

L'Oreal Infallible Pro Glow Foundation Shade 201 Classic IvoryI am a foundation snob. I know some people can’t justify spending a lot of money on foundation, or are not overly picky when it comes to foundation. On one hand, I totally get it – seasons change and with that comes different textures of your skin and the need for different shades. For me, I have a really hard time using just any foundation and picking up whatever is on sale because a lot of foundations look terrible on my skin. I have combination skin that ranges from normal to oily. My t-zone is my trouble spot. It can get very shiny throughout the day and the pores in that area (especially on my nose) can be terribly exaggerated if I don’t pick the right foundation. They are something I am so self-conscious about. Plus, when my skin gets oily, it miraculously has the ability to make things oxidize on my skin aka my foundation turns orange and I channel my inner oompa-loompa. It wasn’t a cute look on Charlie and The Chocolate Factory and I can promise you, it isn’t a cute look on my face either. After testing out the L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation, I think my skin has met its match and I have finally found a drugstore favourite.

L’Oreal added a new product to their Infallible line – the L’Oreal Infallible Pro Glow Foundation in June-July. It is one of their 24-hour long wear foundations that offers a hydrating glow. They describe it as lightweight, creamy and long-lasting. It is said to apply smoothly with a finish that lasts and is recommended for normal to dry skin. It comes in 12 different shades, which when compare to the L’Oreal Infallible Pro Matte foundations tend to be a little more of a pink undertone. (Pro Matte appears to have a shade selection that is more yellow toned). I found it very interesting that the shades were different between the two finishes. I expected it to be the same shades as the first infallible foundation, only with a glowing finish instead of a matte. In Canada, this foundation ranges from approximately $17-$21 depending on where you shop, but does go on sale for less.

After using it for a bit, I can totally say based on my own experience that Pro-Glow can be used on combination skin too. I was a little worried that it might make my skin look too shiny, but it wasn’t bad at all. It isn’t an overpowering dewy finish, it is more of a semi-matte finish. Semi-matte is so flattering on my skin personally. It isn’t so matte where your face looks flat or chalky, but isn’t so shiny that my face looking like a greasy mess.

I don’t think the product lives up to the 24-hour claim, because once I hit the 12-hour mark I was getting pretty shiny and the foundation was starting to separate from my skin a little. For me, that is normal and you realistically should not be wearing foundation for a full 24-hours.

The best application, in my experience, for the Pro Glow Foundation was with a brush. A brush made the product apply super smoothly and gave me the ability to build up the coverage a bit. I know there has been a lot of discussion on social media about the coverage of this foundation in comparison to the Pro Matte. The Pro Matte is much more full coverage, where as the Pro Glow is more on the light-medium range of coverage. I found it has a buildable medium coverage, that when paired with a decent powder can appear more full coverage. I took before and after photos to show you the coverage. Below you can see my skin without foundation, my skin with just primer and the foundation, and then a full finished makeup look where I have added concealer and powder for more coverage. I am wearing the lightest shade 201 Classic Ivory.

L'Oreal Infallible Pro Glow Foundation SwatchesL'Oreal Infallible Pro Glow Foundation SwatchesL'Oreal Infallible Pro Glow Foundation Makeup Tutorial

I find the coverage perfect! If you compare the first image and second image, you can see it evens out my skintone, brightens my dark circles and cancels out any redness. The only thing I would really need any extra coverage for is to add a bit more brightness to my under eye area and cover up any blemishes.

  • Has the perfect amount of glow for my skin – a semi-matte finish
  • Has enough coverage to even out my skin tone
  • Super lightweight and feels light and fresh on the skin
  • No fragrance
  • Feels hydrating

  • The shades are different in comparison to the Pro Matte line (This wasn’t a con for me, but might be for some if you prefer the selection in the Pro Matte.)
  • Not a full-coverage foundation, more light-medium coverage
  • Higher price point for a drugstore item

Overall, I am super happy with this foundation. It lasts on my skin, has ideal coverage for me and has a beautiful finish. It feels amazing on my skin and I have gotten a lot of compliments on how my skin looks while wearing it.

Have you tested out the Pro Glow Foundation? How did you like it?

How Much is My Face Worth?

Everyday MakeupI read a post from Beauty By Catherine a couple of months ago where she did the “How Much is My Face Worth” Tag. She took a look at all the products she uses on a daily basis and calculated the cost of her made-up face. I loved it and hated it all at the same time. In one sense I felt relief that other people spend a good amount of money on makeup. But, on the other hand, my stomach flip-flopped at the thought of how much my face might cost. It was kind of eye opening for me to take a step back and think about how much I spend on makeup and what I use everyday. Today, as I was going through my makeup drawer and getting ready, I thought back to Catherine’s post and decided to share the value of my everyday face with you all. If you haven’t checked out Catherine’s Blog or her fabulous Instagram, I recommend that you do! She does a bunch of amazing beauty, fashion and lifestyle posts.

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara ($31)

Smashbox Always Sharp Waterproof Kohl Pencil ($25)

Nyx Butter Gloss Creme Brulee

Nyx Creme Brulee Butter Gloss ($8)

Grand Total: $468

I will be the first to admit it is absolutely crazy that I wear $468 worth of product on my face. My brain is currently exploding with ideas of things I could spend that much money on. That is A LOT of money. Although, I do have to keep in mind that it isn’t like I went out and spend $468 all at once. These are products I have slowly accumulated overtime and I slowly repurchase here and there, or swap out for new alternatives (sometimes less expensive) as they run out.

I’m dying to know, how much is your face worth?! Let me know in a comment below or send me a link to your post!
