Jouviance Soft Peel Mask

Jouviance Glyco Laser Soft Peel MaskRecently, I have been testing out Jouviance’s Glyco Laser as home peel treatments, which sound scary with laser in the name and glycolic acid being a key ingredient.  But, before anyone gets too scared and clicks away I have to tell you, my skin has never been happier. My skin looks more radiant, smooth and even.

Jouviance’s Soft Peel Mask is formulated with 5% glycolic acid. It exfoliates, boosts the skin’s radiance and resurfaces the skin. It helps to reduce fine lines, fight photoaging and wrinkles. It will help reduce pore size, hyper pigmentation and sun damage, while treating blackheads and pimples. It is a product suitable for all ages and skin types (even sensitive).

Having recently over exfoliated my skin with a physical exfoliant (probably the most painful experience ever) I love that this product can exfoliate my skin without having to use a physical exfoliant. The non-drying formula uses BHA and AHA along with two earth clays to provide amazing multi-action exfoliation.

I use this product about once a week and I have noticed amazing results. I apply a thin layer for 10 minutes and then remove with warm water. It does have a slight tingling sensation on the skin that I really enjoy. It makes me feel like the product is really working on my skin. Instantly my skin is smooth, soft and glowing. It is an amazing product if you are looking for that instant gratification.

Beauty Room Gallery Wall

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

After posting a photo of the new gallery wall I created in my beauty room, and receiving a lot of questions and requests for inspiration, I decided to do a post about it. For those of you that don’t know, I am very passionate about making my space my own. Even in temporary rental apartments, or student residences, I have always gone out of my way to decorate my space and really make it feel like my own. For me, it is so important to come home to a space at the end of the day that feels like home and is somewhere I enjoy spending my time.

After spending hours scrolling through Pinterest and pinning tonnes of gallery walls, I decided to create my own. I looked at a number of different ways to create my wall – finding prints in store, look at free alternatives online, and looking online to buy prints to be sent to my home. After narrowing down the alternatives I decided to purchase my prints through Etsy. The Etsy shops I chose allowed me to instantly download electronic files of the prints that I could then print at home or take to a print shop. I chose to take them to a print shop. It cost me around five dollars to print them all and I was able to print higher quality images then what I could do at home, and on better quality paper. The other great thing about Etsy is that a lot of the shop owners are willing to customize for you free of charge. Both the “Blend” and “Lipstick Swatches” prints were originally pink, but I messaged the shop owners and they were happy to make colour adjustments. This allowed me to really have personalized prints that fit my space exactly how I envisioned them to.

For the frames, I really did not want to spend a lot. I am a recent graduate and do not have a huge budget for decorating. I chose to look for frames at thrift stores, Value Village and Dollarama. I was able to get lots of unique frames that fit my colour scheme and budget.

There are a lot of different prints on Etsy, so feel free to explore other shops, but here is where I got the prints pictured above:

  1. Blend
  2. Lipstick Collage
  3. Bobby Pins
  4. New Underestimate the Power of an Eyebrow
  5. Lashes
  6. Lipstick Swatches
  7. When in Doubt Wing it Out
  8. Home is Where the Makeup Stash is

How do you personalize your space? Have you ever made purchases from an Etsy store for home decor?

Happy decorating,

Kaitlyn xo

Monthly Must Haves: April 2016

FullSizeRender (7)Another month has gone by – how is April over already?! With April coming to an end I have had another month to test out some products new products and rediscover some that have been hidden away in my makeup stash. Here are some of the products I have been loving for the month of April:

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge – I think I am always the last one to jump on the band wagon when it comes to tools for makeup application. If any of you have tried the Real Techniques Sponges, you won’t be surprised that this has made its way into my favourites this month. I love how they apply my foundation – it is like a second skin. It provides a smooth flawless finish and blends my foundation and concealer into my skin perfectly. If you haven’t tried these already I definitely recommend that you do. And, rumour has it, they are a great dupe for the notorious Beauty Blender sponge.

Benefit Hervana Box-O-Powder –  I am a huge fan of Benefit’s boxed powders. This month I added Hervana to my collection and I couldn’t be happier. It is the perfect blush for spring. It is a beautiful orchid shade that adds a stunning flush to the cheeks. It has four different shades inside, which you blend together before application. It applies smoothly to the skin without being overly powdery and has buildable pigmentation. It creates a very natural flush and is incredibly long wearing. I have been eyeing this one for a while and I am so happy I finally picked it up. I will be definitely wearing this one throughout the rest of spring and into early summer.

Nyx High Definition Concealer (Yellow) – This month, I put colour correcting to the test with the Nyx HD Concealer in the yellow shade. Yellow is really good for highlighting, particularly under the eyes. I have been using it under my eyes for the last month and it has made a huge difference. After applying primer, I blend in the yellow concealer with a damp Real Techniques sponge. Then, apply my foundation over top. It makes a huge difference and I find I am using way less concealer under my eyes. Sometimes I find concealer can crease under my eyes and look really heavy, but this one blends out really well and I use a lot less concealer, so it doesn’t look heavy.

Tresemme Beauty-Full Volume Collection – Volume is something I always desire in my hair, especially since most of the time I style it to be curly or wavy. This month I tested out Tresemme’s Pre-Wash Conditioner and Volume Shampoo as part of their Beauty-Full Volume Collection. I really love this duo. You use the conditioner first, followed by the shampoo. In using the conditioner first, it detangles and smooths the hair, while allowing the shampoo to wash away any of the added weight. This helps create volume in the hair while still giving your hair moisture, shine and smoothness. In testing out this duo, I also tried reversing other shampoos and conditioners I had on hand and had similar results – it created more volume in my hair. If you aren’t sure about investing in these products, try reversing your shampoo and conditioner you already have to get more volume in your hair.

What were your must have products for April?

Skin Benefits of Thermal Water

Vichy Thermal Water, La Roche Posay Thermal Water, Avene Thermal WaterI already know what you’re thinking, “It’s water in a can… why would I buy water in a can?”.  Trust me, I felt the same way as you. After doing some research and adding it to my skincare routine, I’m hooked. Not only does it have a million different uses, it also has so many benefits for your skin.

Let’s dive right into it, what is thermal water? It is rain water that is harvested from springs in France. The water takes years to get to the source where it is harvested. During this journey, it collects minerals and anti-oxidants from the earth that have incredible benefits for the skin.

Thermal water is amazing at soothing any kind of redness associated with inflammation. It can also soothe irritation and has the ability to balance the pH level on the skin (aka it can work as a toner). It can be used as a makeup setting spray, add hydration to the skin and cool the skin.

I love using thermal water through out the day. Working indoors, and over the winter, I found my skin could feel very dry throughout the day. A little spritz of thermal water helps my skin feel refreshed and reduce any feeling of dehydration. Also, during the summer it feels so refreshing on a hot day. In addition to use throughout the day, I also use it as part of my morning and nighttime skincare routine. I apply it after cleansing and before moisturizing. Applying moisturizer over top helps to lock the hydration, anti-oxidants and minerals into the skin.

Micellar Water Comparison (Bioderma, Vichy, Garnier, Marcelle and Simple)

Garnier Micellar Water, Vichy Micellar Water, Simple Skincare Micellar Water, Marcelle Micellar WaterMicellar water has been a huge part of my skincare routine for the past two years. With so many new options available at the drugstore, I decided to put some other alternatives to the test to see how they rank in comparison to my tried and true Bioderma. Let the battle of the micellar waters begin!

Vichy Purete One Step Cleansing Micellar Solution 3 in 1

The Vichy One Step Cleansing Micellar Solution claims to be a cleanser, toner and eye makeup remover. It is ultra-gentle, refreshing, purifies skin, removes makeup and soothes irritation. It attracts impurities like a magnet eliminating any need to rub or tug at the skin to remove makeup. It is ideal for all skin types and all skin concerns. Vichy states that they have a unique micellar technology which can effectively remove impurities.

Formula: The Vichy Micellar Solution has a very fresh clean scent – it is an added fragrance to the product. The list of ingredients in this micellar and the Garnier version (up next, keep reading!) are almost identical. Vichy’s micellar is tested on sensitive skin under dermatological control, hypoallergenic, paraben free and includes the Vichy Thermal Spa Water making it both soothing and fortifying.

Packaging: The packaging on this water is very similar to most on the market. It has a flip open cap with a small hole that dispenses the product when turned upside down. The one thing I did like about this bottle in particular is that it is more rectangular in shape and I felt like it was easier to pack when I have needed to take makeup somewhere and it fit better in  my makeup bag because of the shape.

Performance: This product worked extremely quickly and is the most comparable to my dear Bioderma. I could remove my entire face of makeup in about one and a half cotton pads – super impressive. The product was very soothing on the skin and left my face refreshed and clean without feeling stripped or dry. It was not irritating to the eyes or lips. I will mention that I did have a skin irritation as a result of testing out some new products recently. Normally, I would have avoided placing the micellar water on this area, but since it said it had soothing properties I decided to give it a try. It wasn’t my smartest idea and it ended up making that irritation feel worse. Overall, I did really enjoy this micellar water, it was gentle, and it did live up to it’s claims. However, I would avoid any contact with skin irritations in the future.

Garnier SkinActive Micellar Water All-In-1 Cleansing Water

The Garnier SkinActive Micellar Water claims to remove makeup, cleanse and refresh. It is a non-rinse formula safe for the face, eyes and lips. It is oil free, alcohol free and fragrance free. It is tested under Dermatological and Ophthalmological control and is non-greasy and non-comedogenic.

Formula: The formula, as previously mentioned is almost identical to Vichy’s, but there are two main differences. One, there is no fragrance to this product. And two, there is BHT in this formula (also known as butylated hydroxytoluene). It is used to help extend product shelf life and maintain product quality. You’re probably wondering why I am bringing up this long word and the reason being is some people boycott products over this ingredient due to potential side effects. I have looked into it and it is an ingredient that is regulated by Health Canada and they only allow a concentration of 0.1% or less. It is continuously being reviewed and monitored by Health Canada and they have confirmed that the amount currently found in cosmetic products is safe. You can find more details here. Based on my own research I will definitely be more aware of BHT, but I don’t plan on avoiding products with BHT in the future and it won’t stop me from reusing or repurchasing this product.

Packaging: Garnier Micellar Water has very standard packaging. It is similar to most micellar waters on the market. It has a flip cap with a small hole underneath that dispenses the product when it is flipped upside down.

Performance: The performance on this product is basically identical to Vichy’s, which isn’t surprising considering their ingredients are very similar. It took very little product to remove a full face of makeup (about one and a half cotton pads). It left no residue on the skin, no tight feeling and my skin felt clean. The only thing I didn’t find with this one that I was missing is that I didn’t feel a cooling refreshing feeling on the skin afterwards. This was a little disappointing as that is something I really enjoy in a micellar. Other than that, the performance was extremely good and very comparable to Bioderma.

Marcelle 3-in-1 Micellar Solution

The Marcelle 3-in-1 Micellar Solution claims to gently cleanse and effectively remove makeup from both the face and eyes, while soothing the skin. It is supposed to work on even the most dry, sensitive and intolerant skin. Effective on even waterproof makeup.

Formula: It has a very fresh cucumber scent, which comes from the cucumber extract included within the list of ingredients – there is no added fragrance to this product. Something I found interesting about the list of ingredients on this micellar water is that it has salicylic acid in it. This is a nice addition to the product as salicylic acid is great for improving skin texture. It is also 100% hypoallergenic, 100% perfume free, gluten free, paraben free, alcohol free, oil free, soap free, non comedogenic, recognized by the Canadian Dermatology Association and Ophthalmologist tested.

Packaging: I loooove the packaging on this product and I think every other brand should adopt this packaging. It has a pump on the top that you place your cotton over top of and then press down. As you press down, the product is dispensed and immediately absorbed into your cotton. This provides a lot better control when it comes to how much product you use because you know the exact number of pumps you need to soak your cotton and get the job done. Plus, if you’re clumsy like me, you don’t have to worry about knocking it over and spilling it everywhere as the pump makes it spill proof!

Marcelle occasionally releases bonus format sizes where you can get extra product for the same cost, or a small gift will be attached as a gift with purchase. Marcelle is great at providing really good bonus offers with their products.

Performance: It left my skin feeling clean without any residue on the skin. It provided a very cooling sensation on the skin and did not leave my skin feeling tight or stripped. It took two cotton pads to remove my full face of makeup – one for each half of my face. It did a good job at removing my makeup, however it was much faster at taking off my face makeup (foundation) versus my eye makeup (mascara). Overall, I am very happy with the performance.

Simple Skincare Cleansing Micellar Water

Simple claims that their micellar is the perfect blend of multi-vitamins. It has skin loving ingredients that will gently cleanse with removing makeup leaving the skin feeling clean and hydrated.

Formula: The Simple Micellar Water has a very light chamomile scent to it. There are no harsh chemicals to upset the skin, no artificial fragrance and no parabens. It is Dermatologist tested and non-comedogenic.

Packaging: The standard flip cap packaging – you get it by now.

Performance: Over, this was my least favourite in comparison to the rest in terms of performance. I used a lot of product and my skin still did not feel clean after. I felt like I really needed to rub my skin to get any makeup off. I was never able to remove all of my makeup with this product. It was very refreshing on the skin and hydrating. This product would be great in the morning as a super gentle cleanser, but I would not recommend it for removing makeup.

Overall, I’m pretty impressed with the other micellar waters that are out there! Vichy and Garnier tie for my first favourite followed by Marcelle and then Simple. Check out my other post about what micellar water is and how to use it here.

What’s your favourite micellar products?

Happy cleansing!

Monthly Must Haves: March 2016

Monthly Must Haves: March 2016

I have been testing out a lot of new products throughout the month of March and rediscovering some old products in my stash. Here are some of my favourite discoveries this month:

Nyx Highlight and Contour Pro Palette – This product has been something I have reached for everyday, whether I am going for a subtle everyday look or a full on glam look I find I reach for this. It is also super affordable with amazing quality. For more details check out my full review here.

Vichy Normaderm Tri-Activ Mask – This product has been SAVING my skin this month. My skin has been very active this month with break outs appearing like crazy. I rediscovered this product in my stash to help target these pesky breakouts. I apply it at night at night, before I go to bed, and when I wake up in the morning the breakouts have really calmed down. So happy I rediscovered this mask!

Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Caramello – I think the whole entire world knows that my favourite liquid lipsticks come from Stila. This month I think the only thing I have worn is this shade in Caramello and I have gotten so many compliments. It is the perfect nude that can pull any look together. If I want to change it up I just apply a gloss over top and it gives it a completely new look. Everyone needs to try Stila’s Liquid Lipsticks.

Real Techniques Stippling Brush – I purchased a new foundation brush at the beginning of March and I am in love. I feel like I am a little late jumping on the whole stippling brush band wagon… like years late. I love this brush because it gives me a lot of coverage without looking too heavy or cakey. It blends my foundation like a dream, while giving me the coverage I desire.

Smashbox Photo Matte Anti-Shine Primer – I have never really been a fan of Smashbox primers, until now. I tried their famous original primer a while back and was very unimpressed, it left my skin an oily mess. This month I ran out of my tried and true everyday primer and had the Smashbox Photo Matte Anti-Shine Primer in my stash and decided to give it a try. I am happy I did because I actually have been really enjoying it. It creates a perfect matte base and helps my makeup stay all day. The one downfall is that I don’t find it is very good at covering pores, but I was still very happy with the performance.

That’s it for my favourites! Did you have any products you loved this month?

Happy April,

Kaitlyn xo

Nivea After Shave as Makeup Primer?

Nivea for Men After Shave Balm as Makeup PrimerMy willingness to slap just about anything on my face might be getting out of hand. I tried to explain to my mom that I was testing out aftershave as makeup primer and she and when she asked why my response was, “because it was on the internet”. Now that I am taking a minute to think about this, “because it was on the internet” is not always a valid excuse, but I’m always willing to take one for the team here on the blog. You’re welcome!

This internet trend of using Nivea for Men After Shave Balm as a makeup primer all started with Nikkie from NikkieTutorials, but most recently I heard about it from my best friend who is also a makeup artist. She sent me a snapchat of herself when she was using it after a long day and her makeup still looked FLAWLESS. Obviously, I had to give it a try.

I used the product over the course of three days. I applied it to my skin after cleansing, toning and moisturizing. The consistency is much different than what I am used to in a primer. It is very runny and liquid in consistency. I applied a quarter sized amount of product to my finger tips, rubbed my hands together and then applied it all over the face focusing mostly on my t-zone as that is where I get oily.

Nivea for Men After Shave Balm

Once applied, as the product started to dry, it left my skin feeling kind of sticky or tacky. At first, this left me feeling kind of concerned because this was something I had never experienced with a primer. However it worked great! This stuff should be renamed to makeup glue because my makeup lasted all day with it. I had a little bit of patchiness start around my nose by the end of the day, but that is normal for me as I tend to rub or touch my nose a lot throughout the day. The product also controlled oil on my t-zone and kept my skin to a demi-matte finish. Over the course of the three days I had the same results where my makeup lasted and looked great. I tested different applications, with both a sponge and a brush, and I still had the same results.

There is a fragrance to this product. It is a kind of masculine scent, but it is very fresh and not like an overwhelming cologne smell. It does linger on the skin for a little while after application, but then disappears. Personally, I didn’t mind the smell at all and it kind of reminds me of those masculine scented candles from Bath and Body Works. If you are someone with sensitivity to fragrance, I would proceed with caution.

Although the product made my makeup look amazing, my skin isn’t quite as happy. On day three, after application, I started to notice some break outs occurring on my face. When I washed off my makeup that night I had developed five blemishes on my face, which weren’t there in the morning. This is a huge disappointment because I love the way my makeup looks on top of it. I don’t plan on parting with it yet because I really did love how it worked. Instead, I think I’ll keep it in my vanity for those times when I run out of primer, or for every once and a while when I need my foundation to really last.

Have you tried the Nivea for Men After Shave Balm as primer? Are there any other interesting makeup trends out there I should try?

Happy Priming,

Kaitlyn xo

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum FoundationThe struggle is real when it comes to finding the perfect foundation. Trying out foundation is my LEAST favourite thing. I feel like starting off my blog posts with makeup mishaps or embarrassing moments is becoming a trend, but it’s okay. I am willing to take one for the team here. My worst experience with a foundation involved it oxidizing on my skin. I would apply it in the morning and within two or three hours it would turn orange. Like, I was literally an umpa lumpa by 11am. I went through two full bottles of the product before I came to the conclusion that my foundation shouldn’t change colour before noon (#RookieMistake). The worst part of all is other people noticed my foundation appearing super orange, but no one told me! For future reference, help a girl out and let her know she is channeling her inner umpa lumpa. She will thank you later.

Towards the end of summer, I wasn’t happy with my foundation routine and decided to take the plunge and try something new. I am so happy I did because I discovered the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation (Why do beauty products have to have the world’s longest names?) and I am in love. It is a light to medium coverage foundation – it starts off light and can be built up to a more medium coverage – that has a 16 hour wear time. It is a formula that is supposed to enhance the skin through diminishing the appearance of fatigue and bring radiance to the skin. It is a gel consistency with a vitamin-rich fruit formula including litchi, goji berries and pomegranate. It is available in six shades and is hypo-allergenic.

Why do I love this product so much? Well, to start with, application is a dream. It blends so naturally with the skin to create a flawless natural finish almost like a second skin. I also love that it lasts all day. I always set it with a powder (the Bourjous Healthy Matte 10 hr Powder), which helps it last and also adds more coverage. The coverage on this product isn’t super high, but it is enough for everyday wear. It covers up any redness and evens out the skin tone, but doesn’t hide blemishes very well. I usually use a fuller coverage concealer to cover up any pesky blemishes the foundation doesn’t cover on it’s own. I would normally do that with any foundation, so that doesn’t strike me as a con to this product.

Since using this product I can honestly say my skin seems healthier. I have been using it for about six months now and I feel like my skin is more radiant. I also feel like I struggle with breakouts less frequently. The light to medium coverage definitely allows my skin the chance to breathe and I am noticing how much clearer my skin looks as a result.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation $29, Shoppers Drug Mart

Do you have a favourite foundation or any other Bourjois products you’ve tried? Let me know, I am always up for some new recommendations!

May your foundation never oxidize,

Vichy Idealia: Finding Your Ideal Skin

Vichy Idealia Day, Vichy Idealia Serum, Vichy Idealia Skin SleepOne of my biggest fears in life is getting old. Seriously, what is fun about getting old? Besides a seniors discount and retirement, I don’t see anything to look forward to. To me, it sounds like a lot of responsibility and decision making and I’m not ready for it.

In addition to the responsibilities that come along with getting older, there are also a number of physical changes that come along with age. I know you’re all probably thinking “this girl is 22 she has nothing to worry about”, but over the last year I can honestly say I have started to notice some changes in my skin that can be associated with age. It just doesn’t seem to bounce back quite like it used to. On the nights where I don’t take the proper steps to care for my skin it seems like I am paying for it for a few days after. Luckily, I have found a way to cope with these changes and find my way back to my ideal skin thanks to Vichy’s Idealia line.

First off, let’s talk about my definition of ideal skin. For me, when I picture ideal skin, I think pore-less, smooth in texture and radiant. I want my skin to have a flawless glow, so I can really say I woke up like this. Vichy’s Idealia products are slowly helping me get there!

Vichy has finally completed their full Idealia skincare line with a serum, eye cream, BB cream, night cream and day cream. These products are geared towards someone in their early adult years and fights both physical and environmental signs of aging. AKA the things that are naturally happening that we have no control over, and the things happening in our environment like climate, sun damage, diet, stress and lack of sleep.

What do I love about Idealia? A LOT! First of all, the products are acting on first signs of aging – fine lines, skin tone, texture and radiance, which are all of my concerns. Additionally, the actual texture of all of the products is amazing and they are all infused with LHA to help exfoliate and promote new cell production.

Texture of Vichy Idelia Serum, Day and Skin Sleep
L-R: Idealia Serum, Idealia Day, Idealia Skin Sleep

My favourite products are the serum, day cream and night cream. The serum and day products have a pearly iridescent formula to provide an immediate healthy glow and are light in texture. The night cream has a balm gel texture allowing it to feel extremely refreshing. Plus, it has hyaluronic acid for extreme hydration and to help plump the skin. The night cream helps to recreate the effects that deep sleep has on your skin, so on the nights you really didn’t get that much sleep no one has to know.

What are your skincare must haves? Have you noticed a change in your skin and found something that is really working for you? Let me know!

Hope you find your way back to ideal skin!

Beauty Products: When to Spend or Save?

16454450011_ec8afcfbdc_o

Being a self proclaimed beauty addict can be expensive… very, very expensive! Over the last year or two I have started to be more conscious of what I am spending on beauty products and services. When I can, I try to use cheaper alternatives, like an at home or DIY version to save some cash.

Manicure: SAVE –  With drugstore brands coming out with so many gel polishes that don’t require a UV light to cure the polish I have become obsessed with at home manicures. With an at home gel manicure I can get close to seven days out of an at home manicure, which is pretty good in my books. My favourite at home gel polish is from Revlon. Another tip I heard from a friend if you want to save when getting a manicure at the salon is to ask for just the polish. This will save you some money because it cuts out the whole massage and prep part of the manicure. If I am being totally honest, I don’t even enjoy the massage part of a manicure.

Skincare: SPEND –  Your skin is the largest organ on your body and you don’t get any second chances. With that being said, I am 100% hands down willing to invest in products for my skin. One tip I do have, for when you are paying a higher price tag for skincare products, is to be sure to look into the return policies. I know Shoppers Drug Mart, in particular, is willing to return a lot of higher priced skincare products even after they have been used. This is a great policy because you have a chance to try out the products and see if they work for you. If it isn’t the right match, you can bring it back.

Artificial Tan: SAVE – As a permanently pale skinned girl with no hope of ever getting that golden glow from the sun I am all for team self-tan. I have gone the professional spray tan route and the at home version and my verdict is to save and self-tan at home. There are so many good options for tanning at home that provide the same results as the salon. Plus, one bottle of self-tan to apply at home, which can be used for numerous applications, can run close to the cost of one application from a professional. My favourite at home tanning products come from St. Tropez Tan, which can be purchased at your local Sephora or Shoppers Drug Mart.

Hair Colour: SPEND – Hair colour is one thing I haven’t ever tried to save on and don’t think I ever will. I’ve seen the good, the bad and the ugly outcomes from boxed dyes working in a beauty retail outlet. That experience in itself has been enough to turn me off of trying to save a few dollars. I’m leaving my hair colouring needs up to the experts. If you are looking to save on the cost of hair colour from a professional check out Groupon. I have heard of a lot of people who have been able to purchase Groupons, which has helped them save when getting a cut or colour from the salon.

Hair Care Products: SAVE – I am a huge fan of saving when it comes to hair care products. I can often find really good products at the drugstore, or can find great discounts on salon branded products at discount retailers like Winners. Since discovering a number of great higher end products at Winners, I can no longer justify paying full price for salon products. The amount of money you can save this way is amazing!

What do you like to spend or save on? Let me know in a comment below!
